Binding Agreement
This Refund and Credit Policy applies to all treatments, treatment packages, prepaid sessions, vouchers, and services offered by Soma Body Therapy.
By booking an appointment, purchasing a treatment or package, or making payment, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy in full. Acceptance of this policy is a condition of sale.
No Cash Refunds
Soma Body Therapy does not offer cash refunds under any circumstances.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Change of mind
- Personal circumstances
- Medical conditions
- Pregnancy
- Inability or unwillingness to continue treatment
- Third-party objections or opinions
All payments are final.
Treatment Credits
Unused treatments are not forfeited.
Any unused sessions remain credited to the client’s account and:
- Do not expire
- Are not cancelled
- Are not converted to cash
- Are not considered money being withheld
Payment secures treatment value, not a refundable cash balance.
Medical or Health-Related Circumstances
If a client is unable to continue a specific treatment for medical or health reasons, Soma Body Therapy does not issue a cash refund.
In such cases, the remaining treatments will be paused and retained as credit indefinitely. Where appropriate and at the discretion of Soma Body Therapy, the credited value may be exchanged for an alternative treatment offered by the studio that is medically suitable for the client.
Treatments may only be resumed or exchanged once it is medically appropriate to do so.
Medical circumstances do not invalidate this policy and do not create a right to a cash refund.
Transfer of Treatments
At the sole discretion of Soma Body Therapy, unused treatment credits may be transferred to an immediate family member.
Transfers:
- Are not automatic
- Must be requested in writing
- Are approved or declined at management’s discretion
Soma Body Therapy reserves the right to refuse transfers without providing reasons.
Completed Treatments
Any treatments that have already been completed are non-refundable and irreversible under all circumstances.
7. Appointments, Cancellations and No-Shows
Because time is reserved exclusively for each client:
- Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance
- Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged in full or deducted from the treatment balance
This applies regardless of reason.
No Obligation to Continue
Clients are never forced to continue treatment. Choosing not to proceed does not create an entitlement to a refund.
Electing not to use credited treatments does not invalidate this policy.
Communication and Conduct
Soma Body Therapy reserves the right to cease communication where interactions become abusive, threatening, or harassing. All disputes must be addressed formally and respectfully.
Legal Compliance
This policy is compliant with the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008. Where required by law, remedies for defective services will be applied strictly in accordance with the Act. No additional remedies are implied.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
